Williamson County has been awarded $1,096,136 from the Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds are to be utilized in the
County’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for Fiscal Year
2008 (October 1, 2008 – September 30, 2009). The funding is intended to
primarily benefit low- to moderate-income persons in Williamson County.
Applications and supporting documents will be reviewed and scored
according to the scoring matrix. Scores will be used as a guide along with
the project budget, urgency and the timeline of the project in determining
funding allocations. Projects that received funding in previous years
must submit an application to be eligible to receive FY 2008
funding.
The needs identification form and supporting documents
must be submitted by
5pm on Thursday, March 27, 2008.
A Public Hearing will be held on February 27, 2008 to
gather input from citizens regarding the CDBG program and to answer any
questions regarding the application process. The Public Hearing will be held
at 6pm at the Williamson County Central Maintenance Facility located at
3151 S. E. Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626.
